1961 Pontiac Bonneville 389 Tri-Power 4spd

Unbelievable find!!

This car was purchased by a gentleman from Omaha, NE in 1962. It was supposedly the owner of the dealerships demo when new. He drove the car for a couple years before he began showing the car in the mid 1960’s. It has some mild custom touches on the interior and trunk- nothing that couldn’t be undone if desired (everyone who has seen the car loves it how it is!!)

The car was retired from the show circuit in the mid 70’s and stored and driven sparingly since then. It currently has only 37,000 miles on it. The widow of the second owner sold the car approx 5 years ago to its second owner. He put a new clutch in the car, new tires and got the car mechanically sound. The car runs and drives wonderful!!

Paint is believed to be original- everyone from the Omaha area that new the car and previous owner attest to this. We had the car professionally polished and our detail shop also confirmed he believed it to be original paint as well. It looks beautiful with just the right amount of shine and minor imperfections to indicate factory paint

PHS documented real 389CI Tri Power 4 spd car. Original engine believed to have never been out of the car!

Very solid and rust free. When the car was being shown the people who remember it recall the inner wheel wells and A arms and suspension components being painted blue to match the car. At some time after it was retired as a show car he painted the underside black . Very light coat of paint that looks good and doesn’t hide how solid this car is!
